Inspired from Fall I created this dark hued and focused floral arrangement a few weeks back.

With Fall here in full swing, I wanted to say goodbye to the end of summer with an arrangement for a potential client. My floral recipe included dahlias, stock flowers, parrot tulips, and broomcorn. I also paired them with these weck jars that I love.

It was the most special and wonderful day aside from our wedding. Given that it is our engagement anniversary I thought it would be fun to share our fav pics from our session from the talented Matt Haines Photography from Fall of last year! It amazes me how quickly time goes by!
John and I both went to UCSB but didn’t know each other back in college (Go Gauchos!). A few years ago we were lucky enough to have been set up by friends on a blind date. Since we have a lot of fond memories of Santa Barbara and John proposed at the trail pictured we wanted to shoot the engagement pictures here and include our dog Molly as she is an integral part of our family. I personally think she stole the show! This may be her calling! P.S. If you squint hard enough you can see Storke Tower in the background. For a week and a half at the end of May, first part of June we ventured to the amazing Solage Calistoga in the Napa Valley to experience one spa treatment after another, fantastic food and great wine tasting. What a beautiful trip! You two deserved it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A few months ago I was walking into the bridal store for my last fitting and realized that I needed more bling and sparkle for my wedding dress. The time I thought I had had suddenly vanished among the hours finding striped straws on Amazon. I immediately went to the usual round up – manically looking through pinterest for that perfect headband and sash, scouring through all the wedding blogs trying to find that special piece. It feels like every sash or headband out there is $500+ which I think a lot of us have a hard time paying. Luckily I stumbled upon this wedding on 100 Layer Cake. Gorg right? The bride owns Untamed Petals and Amanda has the most beautiful pieces – and they are wedding affordable. I couldn’t help but share. I ordered this beauty …. But I wanted to order all of these… Continue reading “Wedding Accessories: Untamed Petals” »
